Each Recycled Sari Yarns skein is unique. They are delicate and soft, with none of the yarns are overdyed. They are perfect for knitting, crochet, weaving and other textile arts. Each skein is handspun by a fair-trade principled women's cooperative in India, from the byproducts of silk and sari manufacturing. The cooperative provides rural Indian women with the chance to earn a fair wage, working from home.
Every skein of Recycled Spun Sari Yarn is unique. Silk fibres are collected from the remnants of Indian silk and sari production units and handspun into soft, delicate, silk yarns. The yarn is not overdyed, so there is quite a bit of variation between yarns, even within the same colour group. Each skein has a unique colour, twist, and texture and they are all beautiful.
